ALOE AND ITS APPLICATION

ALOE VERA – ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES

The healing and care properties of aloe vera leaves have been known for centuries. Thanks to it we can take care of the figure, moisturize the skin and strengthen immunity. Aloe Vera is a cactus-like plant but actually belongs to a lily. It occurs in countries with a very hot summer season, where it rains rarely, among others in Southern Europe, Mexico in Yucatan, Brazil, Cuba and the Canary Islands. However, the best conditions for aloe prevail in Mexico because of the terrain, sun, wind and occasional rainfall. In order to survive, the plant stores large amounts of fluid in its leaves. In such conditions, aloe is able to produce over 100 valuable ingredients that are standard in the products of the German company LR. These plants are characterized by fleshy and heavy leaves that release bitter juice after cutting. It is the main medicinal raw material and is the most valuable component of preparations based on aloe. The “desert miracle” has found wide application in nutrition, herbal medicine, cosmetology and medicine. Its soothing properties are used to treat burns, pressure sores or ulcers. In addition, it has analgesic and inhibits inflammatory processes. However, like any medicinal product, aloe vera products should be taken carefully.

SUPPORT IN SLIMMING CURSES

Aloe is also an effective ally in the fight for health, a dream figure and hence for better well-being. Therefore, when deciding on slimming treatments, it is worth reaching for it. Contains polysaccharides for nutrition of the joints, brain and nervous system. It is also rich in vitamins A, C, E, folic acid and B vitamins. It speeds up metabolism and has a laxative effect. It helps to remove toxins from the body, supporting liver, kidney and skin cleansing functions. Aloe pulp regulates the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. This is because of calcium, which is one of the important ingredients of aloe vera leaves. In addition to calcium, chromium plays a major role in regulating carbohydrate metabolism, which helps maintain normal blood sugar levels. Vitamin B6 works perfectly with chromium.

During slimming treatment it is worth taking a syrup or aloe-based gel. When choosing the right preparation for us, we should pay attention to its composition. It is important that the content of aloe vera pulp is as high as possible. Recommendable are the gels of the German company LR, whose composition is virtually unrivaled, because they contain from 88 to 98% aloe gel, depending on their purpose and combination with other nutrients. The gel is regularly inspected by the renowned International Aloe Scientific Council (IASC), from the cultivation stage to the processing of the raw material. The preparation improves bowel function and improves digestion. In addition, it cleanses the body and has anti-inflammatory effects. It has a positive effect on the appearance of our skin, which becomes firmer, better moisturized and more elastic. In addition, it helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

ALOES IN NUTRITION

Aloe is also used in food production. Especially in subtropical or tropical countries (e.g. Mexico), aloe leaves are treated as vegetables and commonly used in the preparation of dishes, including soups. Aloe vera does not differ much from the vegetables we eat every day. These include zucchini, chicory, eggplant, cucumber – aloe leaves contain comparable amounts of protein, carbohydrates and dietary fiber. Thanks to the mineral content (primarily calcium) we can compare it to cabbage vegetables, especially kale.

APPLICATION IN DERMATOLOGY AND COSMETOLOGY

Aloe is also used in dermatology and cosmetology due to its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Cosmetics with aloe vera have a supporting effect on the care of acne skin, with psoriasis, varicose veins or pressure sores. Thanks to it, we can reduce discoloration, skin blemishes and smooth out scars. Aloe juice supports skin regeneration processes. It has protective properties against itching and is helpful in eczema. In addition, juice can also be used internally. Aloe can also be found in, among others in creams, gels, tonics, masks, deodorants, shampoos, lipsticks, toothpastes and body lotions, including those for people suffering from atopic dermatitis. They have a soothing and firming effect and protect the skin from drying out. They do not cause allergies. Aloe moisturizes, tones and strengthens hair, not only prevents hair loss, but also eliminates dandruff. In addition, aloe extract also works as a natural, antibacterial deodorant. It is used in the care of not only dry skin, but also acne and mature skin.

Aloe leaf flesh contains substances that exhibit properties that promote a comprehensive impact on the human body. Its complex composition means that it is still undergoing new tests. Pharmacological and clinical research results confirm the beneficial effects of aloe on our body. That is why the importance of aloe-based preparations used externally and internally increases.
